Remember
We come to this plane of existence in full remembrance of who and what we are, but we quickly learn to forget, and cling to the false reality of this place. Each month, I offer a reminder of the ever enduring Spirit that is YOU!

War and Confrontation
I have been asked by many in the past few months about war and self defense. I have decided to answer most of these questions now with some Remembrance from the Tao de Ching by Lao Tzu.
Remember that whoever relies on the Tao (the way of all) in governing doesn’t try to force issues or defeat enemies by force of arms. For every force there is a counter force. (for every action there is an equal and counter action) Violence, even well intentioned, always rebounds upon oneself. (The Universal Law Of Return: where you begin is where you return. If you begin in war, you end up in war; if you begin in peace, you end in peace.)
If all people could remain centered in the Tao, all things would be in harmony. The world would become a paradise. All people would be at peace and the “LAW” would be written in their hearts. (not on paper)
Weapons are the tools of violence; all decent people detest them. Weapons are the tools of fear; a decent person will avoid them except in the direst necessity.
If compelled to use weapons, a decent person will use them only with the utmost restraint. A decent person enters a battle gravely, with sorrow and with great compassion, as if he were attending a funeral.
Remembering facts and information is intellect, but Remembering who and what you are is true wisdom. Mastering others and the ways of this world is strength, but Mastering yourself is true power.
