Remember
We come to this plane of existence in full remembrance of who and what we are, but we quickly learn to forget, and cling to the false reality of this place. Each month, I offer a reminder of the ever enduring Spirit that is YOU!

The Old
The old holds our past and is our foundation for the future. The old is a source of fascination for some, but is usually dismissed by many. The earth holds our past (the old) like a time capsule. We revisit the old in many ways in an effort to understand our life here in this place. Archaeology is one way we revisit our past. Archaeology is the study of the human past. Its initial objective is the construction of cultural chronology. Its intermediate objective is the reconstruction of past ways of life. Its ultimate objective is the discovery of the processes which underlie and condition human behavior. We have even traced where our human lineage began by investigating the “old” . In essence, “human past” covers a very wide spectrum of time. In fact, some futurists describe science fiction as the archaeology of the future .< The Olduvai Rift, or more precisely Oldupai Rift (the correct Maasai name), is where many of the world's most important archaeological finds have been made. The gorge is en route to the Serengeti from Ngorongoro, Tanzania. This is where, in 1979, Mary and Louis Leakey found the 3.7-million year old footsteps of Australopithecus Afarensis, and where, in 1957, they found evidence of the 1.8-million year old Nutcracker Man (Australopithecus - or Zinjanthropus - Boisei) and Handy Man (Homo Habilis). Always remember the old because it is essential to the present and an indicator of the future . The Old is ever-present whether or not it has been integrated into the NEW .
