Remember
We come to this plane of existence in full remembrance of who and what we are, but we quickly learn to forget, and cling to the false reality of this place. Each month, I offer a reminder of the ever enduring Spirit that is YOU!

Pressure Produces Diamonds
Ever hear the phrase “pressure makes diamonds”?
This is usually spoken or made reference to, for giving comfort and support through trials and tribulations.
The other one is “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”.
These are both very true, and only half of the complete phrase. Beautiful strong diamonds are born from great pressure in the earth (or laboratory). Pressure can bring growth and strength.
In fact pressure or stress is used to build a stronger body, muscle, buildings etc.
But, these are just the first half of the complete saying.
1) “Pressure makes diamonds and pressure can shatter diamonds”
2) “What doesn’t kill you CAN make you stronger or make you weaker, or maim you”
Though pressure can create diamonds, pressure can also shatter diamonds if the pressure is intense enough. Also, though pressure and stress can help you grow, too much can weaken, harm you or even kill you.
Imagine if you kept re-injuring the exact same muscle, tendon, joint, bone etc….then told yourself after each injury “I’m getting stronger from this because it didn’t kill me”. What would happen to that injured location over time? It will get consistently weaker and weaker. It may even result in a great loss of mobility or even paralysis.
Many keep creating the same pain for themselves and injuring themselves emotionally, mentally or even physically in the exact same way over and over again. All the while telling themselves they are getting stronger from the experience; or, that they are becoming some sort of diamond or stronger. No, in this case you are not becoming a diamond or stronger, but rather ash or the shattered shards of what once WAS a diamond.
Be truly honest with yourself and be mindful of the pressure you inflict on your emotional, mental and physical self. See, and act on the whole truth at all times and don’t lie to yourself.
The pressure you experience is NOT coming from the outside, it is all internal. Therefore, you have full control of the pressure gauge.
Truth : You may not have control of the situations that happen in life but you have full control of how you are going to pass through them.
Stop Injuring Yourself!
