Remember

We come to this plane of existence in full remembrance of who and what we are, but we quickly learn to forget, and cling to the false reality of this place. Each month, I offer a reminder of the ever enduring Spirit that is YOU!

Remembers for

Individual Responsibility

September 11, 2009 @ 11:09 am

RESPONSIBLE:

  1. liable to be called to account as the primary cause, motive, or agent
  2. able to choose for oneself between right and wrong
  3. marked by or involves accountability

Who is truly responsible for ALL your experiences in this life?
Who is responsible for the pain or joy you experience in this life?
Who is responsible for why you feel the way you do?
Who is responsible for the way you think?
Who is responsible for the choices you have made or will make?

YOU.

One Universal truth is that we may not be able to choose the circumstances or situations of our life but we choose how we will experience them. Only some of what life brings our way is not of our own devising, the rest is our own unique creation whether we see this or not. We CHOOSE how we are going to experience everything in life, but we lose our responsibility for our life when we confuse the circumstances of our life with our experience of our life, the two are entirely different.

No one can make you feel anything, (except for the circumstance of physical pain). You create your own feelings emotions and thoughts. No one gives you fear, anger, hate, frustration, anxiety…they are emotional sensations you choose to generate in your body based on your interpretation of a particular circumstance or situation. Thus YOU and only YOU are responsible for your inner experience and YOUR choices in any situation or circumstance.

When a circumstance or situation arises there is a tendency to immediately “look” for “who” is “responsible” and our gaze usually falls upon everything or everyone but ourselves.

One major key to seeing life clearly is to see and understand your responsibility in all “your” experiences in “your” life, and see clearly that the situations or circumstances of your life do not dictate your experience of life.
