Remember
We come to this plane of existence in full remembrance of who and what we are, but we quickly learn to forget, and cling to the false reality of this place. Each month, I offer a reminder of the ever enduring Spirit that is YOU!

A Letter For The Living
Dear Loved One,
Do not stand at my grave and forever weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die. – Mary Elizabeth Frye, 1932
Do not visit me at my gravesite to speak to me; I am not there.
I did not die – I live!
Don’t weep for me, because I am not in pain.
I did not die – I live!
I am in your emotions, your thoughts and the activities we shared.
I did not die – I live!
I am everywhere!
You only have to look and you will see me there, among the shadows of the beauty of Life.
My love, weep no more…smile.
Because, I did not die – I live.
I live as long as you.
Always HERE,
Your ________
(The poem is called Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep written by Mary Elizabeth Frye in 1932)
Comments
This month’s ‘Remember’ is perfect for me. I miss my Daddy and Mama everyday, but during the holidays I miss them more. This reminded me that they are with me always.
Thank you.
A beautiful gift to deliver during the next dinner announcement, thank you)
