Mother...the ritual image of fertility, longevity and prosperity, comes from Liberia, West Africa. Mother is hand carved into the full tusk of a young African Elephant that died in the early 50's. Carved in Liberia, Mother is the ritual image of the fertility and prosperity of the family and community. Mother rests on a 16 lb hand blown glass base. Her colour and vitality have gone unblemished during the past 55 years.

Mother stands 30" tall without her stand and is 9" around her base.
