This exquisite intricate carving in Ivory dates back to the early 1960's. This carving of Buddha with the "earth touching" mudra has been a part of the same family altar for over 30 years. The image is of Buddha?s enlightenment, seated on Naga the serpent, complete with an intricately carved shrine.

This carving is in ivory from the front end of an ivory tusk. The Carving is 4.5" high and 2" wide at the bottom. This Buddha is the perfect icon of prosperity, longevity, wisdom, peace, or enlightenment for a shrine, altar or as a collector?s item.
