Our Mahakala I is an attempt to simulate the powerful force that is the Mahakala in 29 vortexes.

Mahakala I bears the vibrations of the polar Northeast and East which enhances health, knowledge, and intelligence. He is made from 15 tektite beads (simulating the Colour of the Mahakala) each containing double vortexes, 14 handmade silver beads each containing a vortex, snowflake obsidian, meteorite and ancient dinosaur bones from China. Mahakala I is bound by a magnetic silver clasp with intensifies his complete circuit, is 21” long and bears blessings of longevity, inner peace and general well being for the wearer. The vortexes in Mahakala form one continuous vortex circuit and may be extended through thought, emotional intention or through physical touch. Mahakala I anchors all 29 vortexes in the wears bodies and is less subtle than Kali. He creates intense movement in the bodies for the simulation of calm, peace and stability. The combination MahakalaI and Kali are a powerful interaction.

Mahakala (a form of Lord Shiva) is the almighty that runs the universe with his consort, Kali. According to Kali Tantra, He is the one who is believed to control the Kala or time. The Mahakala is relied upon in all schools of Tibetan Buddhism. However, he is depicted in a number of variations, each with distinctly different qualities and aspects. Mahakala is typically black in color. Just as all colors are absorbed and dissolved into black, all names and forms are said to melt into those of Mahakala, symbolizing his all-embracing, comprehensive nature. Black can also represent the total presence of all color, and again in this case it signifies the nature of Mahakala as ultimate or absolute reality. This principle is known in Sanskrit as "nirguna", beyond all quality and form, and it is typified by both interpretations.
