This is the piece of art used in my book, "Patterns that Connect". It was done for the birthday of two dolphin babies at the old Marine World Africa USA site. A large male dolphin (Gordo) and two female dolphins, Terry and Circe, were in the same small tank for many years. It was not until Gordo got sick and died that the park discovered that both Terry and Circe were pregnant. Gordo waited until he knew he would no longer be in the tank to sire two new babies. The first mother was Terry and her baby was called Panama, thus the name.
